Feeling shakey and sensitive to light

Hello I have not posted for a while as have been feeling quite well.

I have started to experience feeling shakey and sensitivity to light. The strange thing is does not happen often but appears to coincide with gut issues particularly after an IBS event . I feel quite far away when it happens hard to describe the feeling .

Any in put would be appreciated

Thank you

Looking at previous posts

It’s 2 months since last increase in levothyroxine

Time to get blood test redone

Book test for early morning, ideally just before 9am and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

Do you normally take levothyroxine waking or bedtime?

Do you always get same brand levothyroxine at each prescription

Which brand

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking

When were vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 levels last tested

Do you have autoimmune thyroid disease, also called Hashimoto’s, usually diagnosed by high thyroid antibodies

Are you on strictly gluten free diet or dairy free diet?

previous post 7 months ago

confirms Hashimoto’s

with vitamin results

CRP. 0.39 mg/L. (0-5)

Ferritin 28.7 ug/L. (13-150)

Folate serum 17.51 ug/L ( >3.89. -19.45)

Vitamin B 12 active 82.5pml,/L. (37.5 -150)

Vitamin D 47 (50-200)

TSH. 0.06 mu/L. (0.27-4.2)

FreeT3. 4.55pmo/L. (3.12-6.8)

Free Thyroxin 18.1 pmo,/L (12-22)

Thyroglobulin antibodies 14iu/mL. (< 115)

Thyroid Peroxidase antibodies >600 iu/mL (<34)

So if not retested since …..probably need to retest

Optimal vitamin levels are

Vitamin D at least over 80nmol and between 100-125nmol might be better

How much vitamin D have you been taking

B12 and folate - presumably you are (still?) supplementing Vitamin B complex

Ferritin was dire

Have you had full iron panel test via GP

Did GP prescribe iron supplements

We have received further information the lab about ferritin reference ranges. They confirm that they are sex dependent up to the age of 60, then beyond the age of 60 the reference range is the same for both sexes:

Males 16-60: 30-400 ug/L

Female's: 16-60: 30-150

Both >60: 30-650

The lower limit of 30 ug/L is in accordance with the updated NICE guidance and the upper limits are in accordance with guidance from the Association of Clinical Biochemists. ‘
