new blood results advice please

Goodmorning, I added T3 8mcg (5 weeks ago) to my levo 75mcg. I feel more energy and my belly fat seems to fade but I still have trouble walking longer than 20 min, my legs become heavy and i feel off. Maybe it is my anxiety, maybe it is the thyroid, i don’t know.

These are my fresh results, any advice is welcome. I took levo 24h before testing and t3 12h . I daily take an iron supplement, also D3 with K2.

Tsh 0.84 (0.27-4.2) -Ft4 15.6 (12-22) - Ft3 5.02 (3.1-6.8) -Tpo 106 - B12 512 (191-663) - iron 75 (40-150)- transferrine 2.19 (2-4) - saturation 24% (16-45) - ferritine 84 (15-150) - folate 8.1 (3.9-20) - progesterone 0.36 (0.1-0.9)

previous result was in August (levo 75mcg and no T3) Tsh 1.5 - ft4 19.6 -ft3 3.91

Thank you 🙂

I don’t yet know very much myself but three things come to mind reading your post. 1.) You have only been on your new meds for five weeks and you have shown improvement. 2.). I think that even without hypothyroidism to consider, if you have had a walking problem for some time, your muscles need time to adapt again to exercise. I think 20 minutes is good. Can you calculate how far you are getting in twenty minutes? It’s important to have some sort of other measure alongside your timing, so you can more accurately see your improvement. 3.) Changes in medication always bring surprises (to me) and there is always a subsequent anxiety. How am I doing? Am I getting new symptoms? Are these old symptoms? Malaise - when I think I should be getting better. On and on. Give it time to settle would be my advice. You are doing pretty well at only five weeks - it seems to me.

Thanks arTistapple, yes i suppose i can wait a while and see how it goes. I don’t think it’s a matter of muscles, but it could be. I was doing better before i started thyroid meds, if I’m honest. I will try to measure it as you suggested, it would be nice to know where i’m at. Thank you for your kind reply.

no vitamin D result?

8mcg dose T3?

Or did you mean 10mcg

Are you taking as 2 x 5mcg ?

Free T4 (fT4) 15.6 pmol/L (12 - 22) 36.0%

Free T3 (fT3) 5.02 pmol/L (3.1 - 6.8) 51.9%

Results suggest you might need small dose increase in levothyroxine

This would help improve low Ft4 and low Ft3

Perhaps 87.5mcg per day …….retest in 6-8 weeks

NHS won’t test vitamin D more than once every 2 years

when were levels last tested

How much vitamin D are you currently taking

Test twice yearly when supplementing

via NHS private testing service
