Gp given me T3/ after oral liquid levoroxine gave side effects

Leflet ingredients I'm lactose intolerant and have colitis, they are Roma pharmaceuticals 10mg hard capsules as anyone heard of these being given to lactose /colitis suffers?

Just want to be clear - these are liothyronine (T3) - not levothyroxine (T4).

thanks for the response, honestly I've been very unwell since Tuesday,I had a tooth extraction ( very bad infection) since then I've developed a serious bad headache, vomiting , shaking , sweating, with abnormal blood pressure, protein in urine,back flank pain in kidney but ambulance staff said it was not life threating ,so GP prescribed anti sickness tablets..my mate picked them up ( not in the bag just painkillers 😠)..along with the T3 I'm surprised they are despenced as it usually takes about 2 weeks for my pharmacy to get T3 Teva...mind you I'm glad it's not Teva👍 so onward and upward with these..GP gave me no other option other than going back on T3..🤷 thanks again helvella

Well the GP might have noticed (been told?) that Roma capsules are cheaper than Teva tablets!

How much has GP suggested you take

Suggest you start with 10mcg waking initially

Wait at least a week before considering if you need higher dose

When are you seeing endocrinologist?

He never gave me any other choice but back on t3..the saving grace being its not teva.. He as suggested starting on 20mg.. 🙄.. 😂 I'm not that daft.. Like u suggested slowdragon I'm starting on 10mg.. The A&E doctor was supposed to have sent a report noting I should see an endo, but my gp as not yet contacted me about the report.. Obviously I'm going to have to do the leg work myself, I've just had a really bad tooth extraction, I'm being sick, have a really bad headache, I had ambulance personnel here today, I had 4 blood pressure reading's of..181/106)..186/106)..175/98)..on my machine which said abnormal, when they did it on their machine it said Yr blood pressure is OK at 137/105.. I re did it in front of her on my machine with the same result ABNORMAL!!.. She said abnormal for who.. 🤦‍♀️.. They refused to admit me to A&E..I'm still wrenching and have a stonking headache with bad acid reflux burning my throat, I feel awful, 😔

Take it steady

I would imagine your extremely hypothyroid having been left on ridiculously low dose levothyroxine for months

Roma are lactose free. The capsules are made of bovine or porcine origin.
