Previous 15/6/21 0.81mu/L serum TSH level, serum Free T4 22.3 pmol/L.

23/5/22 5.3 mu/L serum TSH, 19.8 pmol/L serum Free T4.

yesterday bloods taken approx 08.15, had not taken meds, last dose approx 26 hours previous

Plasma TSH level 0.18 mu/L, serum free T4 level 23.4 pmol/L.

Help foggy brain , quite depressed so feeling confused. wondering why previous tests are serum TSH levels and what difference does it being Plasma TSH levels make.

They still will not do T3 test , I think previously private tests looked like might have a problem with conversion but like I said having a hard time thinking straight right now, I am supposed to ring them to discuss. I know they will want to reduce based on the T4 result, I have Accord they don't to 25mcg which is why I was adamant I wanted my dose back at 150mcg earlier in year HELP

If you really need the FT3 result (which we all do) you have to get it done yourself via Medichecks or similar. NHS labs will only rarely do it if TSH is suppressed or you are severely hypothyroid.

You were thinking of going privately according to your old posts. I'd recommend doing that once you have full thyroid testing done via a private lab. I can see you're bashing your head against the NHS brick wall, as many of us have done.

just testing TSH and Ft4 is completely inadequate but all NHS typically offers

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested.

Very important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 at least once year minimum

Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)

Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or all relevant vitamins
