quick question lovely people. Had ferritin checked by GP, dropped from 59 (end July) to 48 uh/l (13.0-150) despite a weekly dose of liver. Was looking at getting pumpkin seeds but are they ok? For some reason I think they have got soya in them? It could be my brain fog of course!🤣 appt to see Gp Monday to try to get levo increased, just waiting for private bloods for T4 etc to come through, many thanks 🙏

I add extra nuts and seeds, including pumpkin seeds, to my muesli. They are fine to take and no, they don't contain soya. Soya is a bean, a legume, a member of the pea family. Pumpkins seeds are the seeds of a pumpkin.

humanbean has great links on raising ferritin, so will tag her in. I like to heat pumpkin and sunflower seeds (dry in a non stick pan) then add to salads/ also add brown linseeds to my morning porridge.
