Thyroid levels?? And soring pressure headache, neck ache (back & front) and soreness around eyes for 3 days.

I have just started a new batch of Thyroid S and have just had a blood test done yesterday (waiting for results). I have had a soring headache (throbbing), pain around my eyes and neckache for days and ibrofen only dulls it. It's really quite nauseating. Could this be related to my thyroid levels either too low or too high? Any thoughts or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hi MapleMoose, this sounds awful. Please could you let me know the batch number and expiry date of the Thyroid-S you have just started? It should be on the side of the jar. Also, how soon after starting the new batch did the symptoms begin? There have been varying reports recently of new batches being different, some think they're more potent than usual, others think they're less so, although I haven't found a difference so far (taking batch 21089).

That said, those aren't the sort of symptoms I have had when a batch of NDT has been suspect (in my case when Armour changed formula in about 2009 and then ERFA a bit later), but it will be interesting to see if they are for anyone else here.

They are exactly the sort of symptoms I have had from an old shoulder injury, which left trigger points in various muscles. Have you hurt your neck or shoulders recently and is the pain worse at any particular time of day? I'm just thinking out of the box here and it may not apply to you at all.

Thank you. The batch no. is TA22012. I do suffer from L shoulder and back of the neck pain from time to time due to an old injury. This is different, and feels like pressure around the sinus', temples, on top of my head and radiating to the base of the skull. I am all over the place with dosages since the last two batches, because I don't feel as good on the meds as I used to. I have just had a blood test done after much persuasion to the GP, so I am awaiting those results. Apparently, sinus issues and headaches can be caused by thyroid issues both hypo and hyper, so it's confusing as to what it might be. I wish there was a better regulated combo T3/T4 pill that was consistent with every batch, I find it hard to regulate things and I never feel great on the meds, I just know the combo is better than Levothyroxine alone.
