For the first time in decades, I am going abroad on holiday. I take many vitamins each day, as well as self sourced (so un-prescribed) T3. I think I read a post on here a while ago about Easy Jet confiscating meds from passengers.
I am flying with Tui but I 'm worried that my vitamins might be seized or regarded with suspicion. I am part way through a course of Atrantil for SIBO and if they were taken from me, it would really muck up the SIBO treatment. Plus, they aren't cheap!
Should I leave my vits behind? I'll be gone a week.
Am I being naive or overly cautious?
Sorry, but the world is a very different place since I last travelled.

I’m currently in Italy on holiday and put all my medication in my hand luggage, in labelled boxes with a copy of my prescription. If you don’t have a prescription I’d just take the box/ medication leaflet.
I put vitamins in their existing packages in my suitcase, as in the past I had a few questions at airport security about random vitamins mixed in a plastic box (think ‘pick and mix’!) … although security did accept my explanation that as I had 7 of each, they were simply food supplements! The only downside to taking vitamins in original containers is that they take up a lot of space in your suitcase.
Thankyou for responding. I'm a bit paranoid about taking pills out of original bottles and using pill dispensers after an (un warranted) search at customs many years ago.
hi I have been taking tablets and appliances abroad for years and never had a problem always in hand luggage so if questions you can explain plus must be in original packaging with name of tabet etc.ive been malaysia etc all over really never had a problem. it is worth checking the country's rules on medication allowed. I take very strong pain killers etc but again just check online to protect yourself. as long as medication is legal stuff hope this helps
