My condolences 🇬🇧

Lunario profile image

Like many others, I would like to offer my condolences here, too. I have friends in the UK and a big family in Canada, although I didn’t speak to them yet, I am sure they all are filled with consternation.

This is a profound loss. The European flag in my front yard is at half-mast.

eiddew, I think Lunario is offering condolences to everyone here on the forum affected by the passing of our Queen.

That was my intention, yes.

English is not my native language, so maybe the word "condolence" was not chosen in the best way.

I have received so much help on this (British) forum, I just thought it decent to express my dismay.

But thanks for the official link to do so.

Condolence is optimal, Lunario, but even if you had used a word that wasn't, we would all know what you meant. Thank you.

Thank you Lunario, your kind words are appreciated.

Hi

Thank you for the kind thoughts, not forgetting our royal family had very strong links with Germany and the German people. Many of our historical royal family members spoke German and considered themselves as both German and British.

Thoughts that come from my heart.

I am originally from Hanover, which was associated with the kingdom from 1714 to 1837.
