thyroid-S dosing

hey everyone, I'm in the US and just got the thyroid-S ordered I'm currently taking .1.5 grain of NP.. I read that thyroid-s tablets can be a bit weaker and some people take more to make up for it. Just curious what everyone else's experiences are.

I found thyroid S was slightly more powerful than Naturethroid and acella but that was a few years back. ThyroidS has since been reformulated but I only have old stock so can’t say if it’s altered In effectiveness. I went back to ThyroidS because it was much more affordable and just as good as the FDA NDT’s I tried. I guess you’ll just have to try it and see how it compares.

I actually found it slightly more powerful, and dropped 1/4 grain. I do tend to find I need slightly less in the summer anyway, so will wait and see if I go up again when winter hits.

How did you divide the tablets up to get 1/4 grain,?

pill splitter, a couple of quid from the local chemist.

I have been taking Thyroid S for several years as it is the only NDT I can afford. Each batch of Thyroid S does seem to differ in my experience and I never feel totally the same on all the batches, so I find I have to tweek the dosages each time I have a new batch. I think it is a case of experimenting to see how you feel. Good luck!
