have s recently started taking t3 which has been an amazing .

over the past 3 weeks I've been so hot (i know the weather hasn't helped) that im like a cartoon character - sweat literally dripping off me. Has anyone else experienced this, if so how do you stop it. I have read that this can happen.

What are your most recent vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 results

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking

Low B12 linked to excess sweating

Do you have autoimmune thyroid disease

What were Ft4 and Ft3 before starting T3

Always test thyroid levels early morning, ideally before 9am and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before testing

How much levothyroxine were you taking before adding T3

How much was levothyroxine reduced by when added T3

How much T3 are you currently taking

Bloods should be retested 6-8 weeks after changing

Thank you for your reply.My vit d is low and i haven't been tested for folate etc. My gp only wants to do the bare minimum blood tests.

I was on 125 levo which was dropped to 100. Now i take 75 levo and 10 t3

Essential to have GOOD vitamin results ideally BEFORE adding T3

Frequently conversion improves dramatically

How low was vitamin D

How much vitamin D are you currently taking

Get FULL thyroid and vitamin testing done via Medichecks or Blue Horizon after 6-8 weeks on new dose

Frequently Levothyroxine is reduced too much

Aiming for Ft4 and FT3 at least 50-60% through range minimum

Last dose Levothyroxine 24 hours before test

Last 5mcg dose T3 approx 8-12 hours before test

Test early Monday or Tuesday morning

Come back with new post once you get results
