Should I be concerned?

Overall symptoms have not improved so this prompted further blood test on the 14/07 and the following was flagged up. Gp referred me for Liver Scan (hasn’t taken place yet) and wanted to re test in a month. I have added both sets of results below.

Have been strictly Gluten Free since June. Have been tested for Coeliacs and that was negative.

Levo is 175/150 alternate days. Currently taking Fultium D3 800 units and Strivit D3 3200 units daily.

Like many, the chronic fatigue, bone pain etc is not taken seriously by my Gp and I’m forever being told to not blame everything on my Thyroid. I’m worried there maybe something else going on.

Just testing TSH and Ft4 is completely inadequate

Looking at helpful test results on profile….your Ferritin been dire for years

You need FULL thyroid and vitamin testing

all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally before 9am and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

Do you always get same brand levothyroxine at each prescription

This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)

Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or all relevant vitamins

Reversible Poor kidney function linked to being hypothyroid

pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/243...

FT4: 14 pmol/l (Range 7.8 - 21)

Ft4 only 46.97% through range

Assuming last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

Test results suggest you are under medicated
