Problem With Finger Prick Test

Hello

This morning I got up early to carry out a finger prick test. I could not collect enough blood for the sample. All I could obtain was one thick sticky looking immobile

blob of blood from each finger. I completed a finger prick test for another company in the past with no problems. I followed all the advice and instructions.

I am taking Amitriptyline for Sciatica and I am wondering if this is the reason.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I too did a test this morning and found the first two finger pricks gave me hardly anything. I ran around the kitchen for a bit and got my heart rate up and the third finger wouldn't stop bleeding!I am not on the same medication as you but wouldnt have thought it would make a difference.

Thanks for your reply. When I did the previous test I had no problems. Perhaps just a bad day. I received the kit three weeks ago and delayed it because I felt the heat might affect my results xx

Yes thats true. This is my first home test. Do they send you a new kit if unsuccessful? Mine was through Medichecks x
