hi everyone hope you’re doing ok. I remember being recommended to take probiotics to improve gut health for t3 conversion. I’m gluten free, almost dairy free. I’m on T4/T3 combined therapy. My question is are probiotics good for you? I’ve been taking them for a month and need atleast 3 toilet trips every morning, sort of doesn’t seem normal in a way. I am less bloated but feeling unsure wether to stop taking them. Any advice welcome. Thank you all

probiotics with Hashimotos
Hi Bollieforme
You're right autoimmune diseases such as Hashi's can be much improved by addressing gut health.
I once too, bought probiotics in plastic bottles. I did not experiment that much with it. Sounds like you lucked out with some fairly potent version.
I've since learnt from Dr. Will Bulsiewicz (Dr. B), among others, that the best way to house a healthy gut microbiome is via food. The fibres in a plant-based whole food diet act as "prebiotics", which feeds the gut microbiome, which in turn can be "fortified" by fermented food.
Check out his two books, one on theory, the other practical.

Dr B has been very active teaching gut health on social media, podcasts + youtube + website. He's a popular guest on many podcast channels.

Hi. I take probiotics. In an ideal world I would love to get it from food but 🤷♀️
In my own experience in depends on which they have in them. I had some from Boots originally that caused me similar symptoms that you mention. I thought it would subside but it didn’t. It tried a couple of others but for the moment I have settled on Vitabright ones. They have a site or are on Amazon. I don’t have the same problems with these. Hope this helps? 😊
Did they help with Hashi?
they help with symptoms such as constipation. Unfortunately medication is the only thing to help AIT but there are things out there that may help with stubborn symptoms.
How far from other supplements do you take them? Do you take them with food, right? I just bought them, I like that they contain most of what Izabella wentz recommends in a probiotic complex.
I take them after lunch. Not really for any other reason than it has to fit in. We take so many supplements that it’s tricky to find a time for more! I haven’t had a problem with the timing and tend to have morning relief lol.
I can recommend their ashwagandha too. Although currently trying rhodiola instead but they don’t do that one. I took their ash for 5 months and I did feel benefit but thought I’d trial rhodiola to see if it’s better. So much interesting stuff on that one too but Jury is still out atm.
