I so want to make an appointment with someone as its been suggested I may have Central Hypo but its stressing me out so much trying to decide who to go to.
I did make a post here asking about Central Hypo endo but got no replies .
I have the list of Thyroid recommended Dr's (some of whom are also GPs) from ThyroidUK - I am not sure who I even should pick from the list. Some are obviously wayyyyy too expensive but I want to see someone who will recognise possible central hypo but I see , which is great that most of them are willing to prescribe various thyroid treatments like t3, t4, NDT.
But if I go to one of them as they are a GP does that mean risking my GP striking me off from his surgery?? Is it like going to another GP ? Will my GP listen to another GP for thyroid recommendations ?? Or does a private GP mean I just see them for all my thyroid needs and my in GP is not involved??
Or do I see a private endo first , I have contacted a member here who has been very kind and helpful and I have been given the name of a good private Endo who can recognise central hypo but I have been told he mostly prescribes T4 not T3. But would it be good to have an endo diagnosis first? Then try a private Dr/GP??
Im sitting with my blood and saliva cortisol resulesults ready to go and I just can't work out who to make an appointment with and it's stressing me so much. ☹☹
Bearing in mind I do not know what medication I even need !!!
Any direction given much appreciated.

Possibly because it's uncommon compared with Primary Hypothyroidism/Hashimoto's, or whoever did manage to get diagnosed with CH privately just wasn't round to read your post and respond.

Ring and speak to their secretaries, ask if the doctor has any experience of CH, do they recognise CH. If not you know not to bother with them.

No, just because you go private to see another doctor is not a reason to be removed from their list.

That is more likely. When I was seeing a private doctor for my thyroid my GP knew (did the introductory letter which was required by one of them) but all the while I was seeing a private doctor my GP wouldn't have anything to do with my thyroid nor would do any thyroid tests. This didn't stop me seeing her for other things.

Endo diagnosis from private or NHS endos? If you saw an endo and they diagnosed CH and prescribed, there would be no need to then see a private doctor/GP.
