Why has your dose been reduced?

What is this "new regime"?

I would contact your Endocrinologist's secretary and leave a message for him/her to state that you have developed new symptoms since your dose was reduced and that you do not feel well.

Hello Jackanddella and welcome to the forum :

In some respects you are very fortunate being treated with Efra on the NHS - as many of us have been refused and have to buy it for ourselves.

I self medicate with a different brand of NDT and rule of thumb is to treat to the relief of symptoms of hypothyroidism which is how this medication was successfully used for over 100 years and long before the science of a blood tests or range, or guideline.

TSH will likely be low suppressed - it does not matter :

T4 will likely be lower than when on T4 monotherapy -

T3 should be higher than when on T4 monotherapy and you track your progress on your T3.

Do you have any results you can share with forum members ?

No thyroid hormone replacement works well until your ferritin, folate, B12 and vitamin D are up and maintained at optimal levels,

Conversion of thyroid hormone can also be compromised by inflammation, any physiological stress ( emotional or physical ) dieting, depression and ageing.

Dare I ask which endo your under at that hospital ? U can dm me if you prefer! I saw one “Doug” and he didn’t listen to one thing I said it was an urgent referral from my GP. And he spent the whole time staring at the wall in front of him.Did blood tests said I was vitamin D deficient quite badly. And that was it. He was quite rude to me with his attitude. The one I had hoped to see left the trust and went to another trust out of area he would listen and is on social media.

My symptoms and issues are worsening.

What’s this new regime ? Are you hypo or hyper?

Endo Secretary’s at leighton are good it’s a shame some of the Dept specialists aren’t the same to patients. Hope you get sorted soon.

Have you emailed the Secretary I might have the direct email or it might be on your clinic letters at the top.
