Has anyone been told that their thyroid meds are causing them to be hyperthyroid and that it is dangerous to the heart? However it is hard for me to function on a lower dose.
And do you have Pituitary Gland troubles as well?

Have you got an uninformed doctor who’s going purely by TSH results? Because if so, he/she is very wrong. Sadly, it’s all too commonly seen here.
What were your blood test results, do you know? If you have them, would you like to post them here (with ranges) for comment?
And how much levothyroxine are you taking?
No, taking thyroid hormone replacement cannot make you hyperthyroid. When will doctors get that into their heads?!? You could be over-medicated, but to know that we'd need to see all your results, with the ranges, and know what you're taking and how much.
I was close at 0.3 I think, and I did have 'probably an anxiety attack with sweating and palpiatations' which was quite scary. I don't think it helped that my GP surgery kept saying I was going to be Hyper on that dose and at risk of heart problems and a heart attack. Greygoose is very knowledgeable and so helpful. Don't listen to your GP listen to her
Best wishes x
First of all, can you get a print-out of your results with the ranges that you can post for comments. I'd put it on a new post so that you will get comments as this one will be 'lost' amongst all other questions.
Just realise that our doctors seem to be the last people on earth to 'actually know' the purpose of a thyroid gland.
If one of them have a problem with their thyroid gland I do wonder if they'd join the forum as none of their colleagues could treat them to restore their health by optimising TSH, FT4 and FT3. Also, taking note of patients' symptoms (they know none) and ensuring that with every increase symptoms slowly subside and patient is able to have a ' healthy/symptom-free life.

The above is from an expert in Hormones and highlight the sentence which says about the TSH.
