hi all, would anyone be able to advise on whether these results are within a good range. Symptom wise I’m ok - a little tired. I’m on BHRT (all three hormones) aged 48 and I am taking a split dose (am and pm) of Erfa 250mg in total. Many thanks.

Hello DaisyJones -
You haven't posted any blood tests ?
Oops they are…
So you have reduced down your Efra from last time - as 2 years ago you posted -
a T3 at 6.80 top of the range with a T4 at 26,20 and slightly over the range -
so your thyroid hormones are now in the ranges - but how do you feel compared to when on the higher dose ?
From memory I think you have Hashimoto's and also diagnosed with celiac disease :
We generally suggest a fasting blood test around 10-12 hours from last dose which then shows the ' height of your T3 ' on this dose - is this how you tested ?
Your T4 is still a little high compared to your T3 and think we may still have some absorption / conversion issues -
No thyroid hormone replacement works well until the core strength vitamins and minerals - those of ferritin, folate, B12 and vitamin D are up and maintained at optimal levels - did you get these run as well ?
Thank you for your response. I’ve had all my vitamins etc checked and all are good and in range including Iron and vitamin D (I take supplements religiously).
The blood test was done fasted and yes you’re right have coeliac disease and hashis.
In terms of how I feel in contrast to my previous dose - not particularly different. I am a little tired but more likely due to perimenopause. Possible weight gain but again difficult to decipher.
In your opinion is there anything further I could do? Thank you
Well I now know I need to maintain my ferritin at around 100 - folate at around 20 -
active B12 at around 125 ( serum B12 500++ ) and vitamin D at around 125 -
so maybe you need to build some of your vitamins and minerals up further as just being ' good and in range ' isn't really optimal :
I feel best with my T3 up at around the top of the range which sees my T4 at just around 25% through the range -
We are all different - I haven't a thyroid as I'm post RAI thyroid ablation for Graves Disease.
All thyroid hormones are best taken on an empty stomach and you need to wait around an hour before eating and drinking anything other than water.
i think most people find they need their T3 to be up at around 70% through the range ;
