Hair loss and seborrheic dermatitis
So sorry you're are going through this. Did you by chance have covid? I lost over half of my hair from covid. It started shedding about 3 months after I was ill. Hair is growing back. Don't have/know about the dermatitis, though.
Hi There, Yes I did have covid January 21 I also had the 3 jabs as well I was losing hair before covid but not shedding like this so I think it's a mixture of a few things thyroid diet n stress covid could possibly played a part it seems to be easing up got regrowth poking up all over I'm not sure on this seborrheic dermatitis tho I can only see a small patch around top of crown I washed hair in this shampoo I was advised to use just one wash and no hair fell out wet or dry today scalp feels okay but I'll continue for a week or so it's nice shampoo Tony Maleedy Juniper shampoo my face skin is the thing that feels dry bit itchy more so so I'll have to try find dermatologist bit like trying to find a good Endo I miss the hairdressers for my hi and low lites
Can I ask who advised you use that shampoo in particular?
Hi There my Triologist advised me
Thanks I might give it a go. I’ve been using Champo Pitta volumising shampoo which did seem to help at first but now it’s not and I’m losing hair again. It’s also more expensive and hard to lather up at times.Good luck with yours. You may need a steroid cream for the SD. Unfortunately the SD and hair issue seem to come together.
Just a hint. I started using the Neutrogena facial wipes recently and they have really helped my dry skin patches. Feel lovely and soft too. You can get them in Boots, Super Drug and online. They take all your make up off including mascara. I bought them when I went away to save on packing bottles. Really pleased with them.
Well Good Luck with the shampoo I did find it left my hair soft and I have still got some bleach hilites in my hair they do a conditioner as well I've got blepharhitis which doesn't help when that flares up
Yes, I haven't had my highlights for over 10 months and I've cut 6-7 inches off my hair, too. My hair dresser and I agree that we'd rather have hair instead of having a certain color with less/no hair. But it is so hard to wait it all out, so I get it. I had covid again 8 months after the first bout so I'm just waiting for it to fall out again. I had a really high fever the first time, so I'm guessing that was a major cause, and hoping this time I' won't lose any more..
I really hope you're able to find solutions to help. I started taking collagen more regularly, along with biotin and vitamin a supplements. I used an essential oils product named Hair Envy for awhile, too.
Wondering if anything in your diet, like you said, is contributing? Maybe gut health? I'm really trying to focus on ways to relieve stress, too.
