This spring I have been suffering from high blood pressure and I was put on blood pressure medication. I have Hashimotos and I have been taking T4 and T3 but I thought that maybe it was the T3 that was causing it so lowered the dose. Finally I went for a blood test and my vit D levels were really low, in the low 20s and should be 60+) and T3 was low as well. I am back on my regular T3 medication and also vit D supplement and I am feeling better.
Has anybody else suffered from high blood pressure due to low vit D levels? I did read somewhere on Google that there was some kind of connection.

If your VitD was low in range then its possible that B12 - Folate - Ferritin were also low in range. Do you have those results ?
Being too low in iron etc can be involved in blood pressure issues as the heart has to beat faster when it detects low oxygen. Oxygen is transported around the body by adhering to iron within the red blood cells.
Am assuming your VitD measurement was ng/L so a dose of 4000 iu's would be helpful. Magnesium and VitK2-MK7 are important co-factors. Which VitD are you taking and how much ? VitD is fat soluble so the gel capsules containing olive oil are good.
