NHS endocrinology appointment. How do I take my T4/3?

Hi all

I have been referred to nhs endocrinology and have been given an appointment. I currently take 125mcg t4 and 10mcg t3. I take my t4 and 5mcg t3 about 7.30am and 5mcg at bedtime. I was prescribed t3 privately.

My appointment is 2pm. I will have to phone to see whether bloods should be taken before i attend appointment.

My question is how should I take my morning doses? I am going to assume that they will take bloods when I am there and I don't want false high or low levels.

Thanks for taking the time to read.

I always have my blood tests at 2pm. I take my last levo at night leaving a 16 hour gap. You could take your the previous day's dose at 2pm to give a 24 hour gap. I take my morning dose of lio as usual at 6 am leaving an 8 hour gap.

Hi LalatootThank you for your very prompt reply. That sounds like a good plan. That of course would be the same intervals as I would normally have with bloods at 9am.

I'll set my alarms for the different times.

Thank you! 😊
