I finally Connected the dots with symptoms of Insomnia, Internal trembling, anxiety and Tinnitus

I found that I have Histamine Intolerance and possible Mast Cell activation syndrome. I'm sad about another diagnosis ( Hashimotos and TED) But HAPPY to have found the culprit! Google Histamine Intolerance and Anxiety. You'll be amazed. All of my symptoms plus Vertigo, flushing, itchy skin, and rashes or hives.

Im On to a low histamine diet and some supplements recommended by my Functional doc. Praying it is resolved quickly. I'm already sleeping so much better!

Hi! Glad to hear you have an explanation, at least it gives you a starting point to start feeling better! A lot of functional medicine practitioners believe that underlying issues such as gut infections are often responsible for histamine intolerance. Have you seen this by Izabella Wentz?thyroidpharmacist.com/artic...

Thank you!

Yes, I have seen this article, as I researched Histamine intolerance a while back. I had an inkling that I may be Histamine Intolerant but I only had one or two of the symptoms that she lists.

It wasn't until I did DEEP research and listened to a few podcasts on HI and Mast Cell that I realized that I had it. She doesn't list Anxiety, Insomnia, Tinnitus, or hair loss. All of which I had. Mastcell360.com, Low histamine eats.com and Becky Campbell confirmed my suspicions.

Hi. Can I ask if you’ve been tested? I have the same symptoms as you but I did have a test for histamine something or another a while back and it was fine. Is your practitioner going by your symptoms or tests? Thank you.

Hi @Spangle15 No, I was not tested. (Some say the testing isn't very informative)

I'm going strictly by my symptoms. I had an inkling I may be histamine intolerant, so I went low histamine for 2 weeks. I seemed to be fine so one day I ate hot dogs with sauerkraut, salad with avocado and a dressing with vinegar as well a homemade chocolate dessert. It lit me up like as lightbulb and I had terrible symptoms all night. Apparently my Histamine bucket overflowed! So I'm back to a low Histamine diet and am feeling much better. Not perfect but better!

Hi

There’s some good information on Liz Earle well-being as Lily her eldest daughter has this.

Life code GX do relevant genetic tests (expensive but probably worth knowing)

Here is a link an interview Dr Tina Peers whose daughter has Mast Cell activation syndrome and now expert in the area.

I have Mast Cell Activation Syndrome with Histamine Intolerance and Multiple Chemical Sensitivity and it’s gone nuts since I had Covid!

So glad that you are doing better already.

Are you optimally medicated on thyroxine, plus check D, B12, ferritin and folate.

Thanks Karen. Im on 13 mcg of Tirosint and not sure if I'm optimal yet. My antibodies have come way down. Most are normal again, thank God. Except for My Free T3 and T4 So far they are not converting. My D level is 66 ( reference range 30-100) , Ferritin is 60 ( rr 15-150) folate is 17.3 ( rr >3.0)

Hi it's been two months, wondering how your recovery is going?

Hi! Thanks for asking! Everything seems to be going pretty well! I'm sleeping better than I have in years, so that alone is a blessing. NO MORE internal tremors or anxiety episodes and that is a God send as well! I am still on a low histamine diet and I'm also looking at possible oxalate intolerance.

I get the itchy's in my ears and upper back and scalp occasionally as a symptom of one of them, but I try to track it down. It's not easy but I'm trying to listen to my body and see what may be causing these lingering symptoms. It could be a new supplement I'm taking or a secret ingredient in something I'm eating. I try to make all of my own food and not eat bottled or canned foods because you never know. But eating out is a little tricky.

PLUS I found out that my Iodine is low so that may be a missing piece regarding my Thyroid problems. One day at a time!
