I have looked on your personal page (click your name) and you haven't given any personal background of your journey to be diagnosed. It is helpful as members can read it before they answer questions, and without you having to repeat it often.
These are new and happened when my ft3 went to 113% 24 hours after taking NDT. Symptoms are mainly feeling hot, sweating, tremors, anxiety, waking up every hour or early morning. I was also really dizzy and fatigued, but that went away as I lowered the dose.
Ok, so if you increased your dose and this caused the symptoms, just drop back that last dose increase and monitor on blood pressure, pulse and temperature and see how you go a a slightly lower dose.
Nothing else, I checked my antibodies, cortisol, all vits, ferritin, ESR, biochemistry. The high ft3 caused it for me. It's better now, some symptoms are lighter, but still lingering. I think from memory that can last for a couple of weeks.
I have. My antibodies are lower now than before the increase.I also wonder what to do next. I take a small amount of levo with my NDT as I don't feel well without it, however, I wonder if I should trial removing levo and increasing Armour to see. It is really hard to know. On low ft4 is have weird symptoms, including very dry skin, blurred vision, anxiety etc.
I might trial it again (I tried and always ended with high ft3 and low ft4 with several hypo symptoms lingering, like feeling cold, having dry skin etc). I just don't understand why high ft3 anywhere between 78-113% on different doses, doesn't alleviate my hypo symptoms.
On NDT you will likely find a proportionately lower T4 but with a proportionately higher T3 :
I still have some hypo symptoms, I think it all a trade off - but at least I now have my brain back and able to drive my little car, get out and about and get my own shopping.
I think it's also depends upon on how long you have been dealing with symptoms and trying to focus on what improvements you've experienced and trying to keep positive though some days that maybe a big ask.
Makes sense, I have seen on forum that some people need to add either t4 or t3 to their dose. Have you ever tried? What kind of hypo symptoms do you have?
Absolutely, we appreciate every single normal thing we can do, I'm the same.
I have been dealing with it since 2000s, on NDT since 2015, absolutely fine until mid 2017, when everything went haywire. Since then I have developed a lot of symptoms, was also moved to Levo for 18 months and that was terrible.
I did try a little T4 - but didn't seem to make any difference and in fact I developed this pseudo gout in my knee :
I have Graves and post RAI thyroid ablation and coming up to 75 so don't know which is what sometimes but I do know since loosing my thyroid I'm not as resilient as I once was and I tend to dip in the PM but I'm mowing my own lawns and independent and if I can help a few people on here I give back, as this forum was paramount in my getting myself as well as I can be after having this treatment which I deeply regret.
