Agonising headache

Hi

My husband is self medicating and was taking erfa, 1 grain a day without any issues. He has switched to thyroid s, same dose and is now experiencing an ongoing, agonising headache/migraine. Should he take a lesser dose and work up to 1 grain slowly or assume that thyroid s doesn't suit him.

Thank you.

He could try taking one anti-histamine tablet one hour before his dose of Erfa and if he does get bad symptoms, he'd have to trial other NDTs. Sometimes we can be sensative to the fillers/binders in replacement thyroid hormones.

There have been reports on here of batches of Thyroid S which are not up to standard. It's not easy to know what is in it. Can he return to Erfa? Erfa has side effects for me.
