Very low body temperature?

Basically I have noticed for the last few years that my basal body temperature is very low and I was curious :

- is it normal?

- why is mine so low?

It’s not quite low to be hypothermia but is also VERY much lower than “normal” and I feel fine.

My normal temperature is between 35.3°C - 35.6°C ( which is 95.5°F - 96°F).

Normal body temperature is usually considered to be around 36.5°C - 37°C

Which is 97.7°F - 98.6°F

This came relevant recently as I had a fever that effectively reached 39°C (102.2°F) but felt like 40° +(104°F).

But to be fair. I notice that even if I only reach 36.8-37° it personally feels like a low degree fever for me (despite low grade fever being 37.5°C).

Should I mention this to the GP? I don’t want to waste their time..? 😅😅😅

I think my normal prior to noticing my now low temp was around 36.3-36.6 like most people?

This is new, but not very recent like mentioned it’s been like that maybe for a couple of years.

Autoimmune thyroid disease with goitre is Hashimoto’s

Autoimmune thyroid disease without goitre is Ord’s thyroiditis. Both are autoimmune and generally called Hashimoto’s.

In U.K. medics never call it Hashimoto’s, just autoimmune thyroid disease (and they usually ignore the autoimmune aspect)
