That’s interesting. It’s happened to me too. Don’t know about the formulation though

when armour wasn't available years ago I went on ERFA however I had similar symptoms so as soon as armour was available again I went back on it. Don't quote me but I'm sure that when I was looking at the differences erfa was a straight T3/T4 combo and armour had a few hormones/T's as well but I'm sure the guys on here can confirm one way or another.

Acording to the Stop the Thyroid Madness site, Erfa was reformulated some years ago and as a result stopped working or worked less well for many. The STTM had been encouraging people to switch to Erfa after Armour was reformulated in 2009:

The company denied reformulating it. But it seems something changed after production facilities were moved from Belgium to Spain. I don´t think anyone has been able to tell what changed or why, but the fact is that many don´t feel it has worked the same since.

I don't know how old you are or your TSH levels but... menopause can cause both thinning hair and weight gain.. might be worth getting the hormones checked.. Also it could be that you need an increase in dose, if your thyroid doesn't work properly it's likely to get worse over time and you may need more. My advice would be get full thyroid and FSH hormone tests.. maybe HRT could help... also biotin for hair loss..

That explains why my hair clip doesn't hold my hair and there's more hair in my brush. Thanks

When WP Thyroid went off the market I had to start taking Erfa and very quickly put on a stone in weight. This has not budged and blood results are slightly worse than when I was taking WP. Also, the aftertaste which lingers constantly is awful. I took Armour for 1 week before I took Erfa and that was worse.

I've been on Erfa for a couple of years now after naturethroid issues. Haven't had a problem that I'm aware of. Have you thought it could be other levels,- hair can be particularly ferritin ( stored iron ) related ? Might be an idea to check a few other things so you can be sure what's causing what!?
