Lost weight in hypothyroid / Hashimoto

I was on 50 mcg levothyroxine, t4 and 5 mcg of cytomel, t3. Due to having palpitations, endo asked me to stop cytomel this week.

I usually weigh 110-112 lbs, always hard to loose weight, however I seem to be losing weight, nice but surprised. I am down to 104lbs now.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Does it mean I have hyperthyroid instead of hypothyroid?

Should this be of any concern?

You have Hashi's and with Hashi's you can swing from hypo to a false "hyper" and back again. It may be worth doing a thyroid panel to check your levels.

When we're hypothyroid (hypo = slow) everything in our bodies slows down until we're on the correct dose of thyroid hormones for our body.

Many complain of 'unexplained weight gain' as they've not changed intake of food and dose of thyroid hormones replacement.

Levothyroxine (T4) inactive hormone is supposed to convert to liothyronine (T3) active hormone and brain and heart have the most T3 receptor cells.
