I'm sorry say that Alopecia Areata is another autoimmune condition and I have that too. Initially my hair fell out then grew back over several months for a number of years and I used to get first hair cut of the year in March.
This year March has come and gone and my hair, this time, has gone also and not returned.
The very first time it happened I saw an expert who injected some product into scalp.My husband was also with me but it was too much for him to watch.
Hair did gradually begin to grew again but husband said if it happened again - no injections. Watching is not pleasant at all.
I have bought a couple of nice wigs - not quite the same as our own hair but we feel better.
