Hi All,

Just had a delivery of metavive ll and was going to split them but having weighed the the whole capsule is coming out at 60 mgs and I've weighed about 40 capsules.

Anyone else had this problem.

So what's the problem?

If you think you've been sent the wrong thing, ask the company who sent it.

I haven't been sent the wrong thing. The weight of each capsule doesn't correspond with the weight it states on the tub.

I will be contacting the company, I was wondering if anyone had the same issue.

If you think you should be taking 80mg I would check as mine are only 60mg and it states 80mg on the tub and at £25 per tub it's not cheap.

Just a thought, but when did you last have your scale recalibrated ... you can't assume they are still accurate unless you check them frequently

Yes I also take Metavive II and also Adrenavive. I have to split the Adrenavive and have noticed that each capsule is of a different weight. I decant into gelatine capsules and then weigh for accuracy. No they are definitely not of equal weight and they are mostly all like that unfortunately.

I have noticed that once I have decanted some into a capsule, the weight can change the next day and maybe this is due to 'settling'. I prefer now to decant and weigh capsules myself.

Could you clarify, please?

Nutrition Information

Each capsule contains: Porcine Thyroid Complex 80 mg

INGREDIENTS: Rice Bran; Porcine Thyroid Complex (Standardised 5’-Ribonucleotides, Porcine Thyroid Gland); Vegetable Cellulose Capsule.

As I see it, the Porcine Thyroid Complex contents of each capsule should be 80 milligrams. But we need to add some unknown quantity of rice bran and the actual capsule. So a full capsule should be rather more than 80 milligrams.

Are you sure your scale is accurate enough? (It might be - just checking!)

Is there any possibility that they are Metavive I capsules which are 40 milligrams?

I'd expect one of them could weigh 60 milligrams.

Obviously, if you bought Metavive II, and they are labelled as such, there is something very wrong. I am just trying to think through what the underlying issue could be.

Thank you for your reply. I have gone through all of the above before I asked the question. If anyone buys these it is worth checking, the whole capsules weigh 60mg each and I have weighed about 40 and they all come up roughly 60 - 63 each.
