Booster jab

Hi all,

Sorry if this has been covered (can't find it in other posts). I am worried about having a booster as I'm autoimmune hypothyroid. Will it be bad for my immune system? Is there a brand that's best for me? I had 2 A/Z so far.

Thanks!

I have several autoimmune disorders, - Hashimoto’s, colitis, Psoriatic Arthritis, and Adrenal insufficiency. I have had 2 vaccinations, a third primary vaccination ( I am immune compromised) and am about to have my booster dose. I can’t say I have noticed any problems with my immune system.

I have the same condition as you tho i also have asthma. Both vaccines were AZ and ive also had my booster. Ive had no probleme with my immune system. So i am sure you will be fine.

I’ve had all three covid vaccinations. First two AstraZenica and third was Pfizer. I have auto immune Hashimotos. I felt a big immune response on my first jab. Absolutely nothing my second jab and third jab just a sore arm. All good. I’d much rather be vaccinated than not and potentially end up in hospital or worse using up capacity in hospitals when it could be avoided just by having the covid vaccination.

So I have had all three vaccinations, 2xAZ 1xphizer i currently have covid, and it’s significantly worse and more damaging than any of the vaccinations were. If you have already had two, what makes you so worried about the third?

All replies have been fine - indeed, very helpful - but we are trying to keep Covid-vaccine posts and responses together in the poll threads. (Making it easier for people to find them, for a start.)

Hence, I shall now close this thread to replying.
