Vitamins with amoxicillin

I am having to take amoxicillin at present for a lung infection. Should I take vitamin B complex while taking this antibiotic?

I'm sorry you've had no replies.

I have taken amoxicillin from time to time, short course for lung infections, usually 7 days. It's a while since I've taken any but I think I stop all vitamins when taking antibiotics, just as a precaution in case there are any problems, I just take my essential medication but work the timing around the times for the antibiotics and try to keep a few hours between.

Thank you for your reply. Thank goodness only 1 day left to take the antibiotic. I don't like taking them at all. It makes sense to stop all supplements. I remember 50 or so years ago, our Doctors used to prescribe Vit B or yeast tablets with antibiotics. I guess that treatment is now discredited. Thanks again.

It's a good idea to take probiotics as antibiotics deplete the good bacteria, but I hadn't heard of B vits or yeast tablets being prescribed with antibiotics
