I talked to my Endo today about my recent labs and possible issues with Abbvie (50mcg) and this is what he wrote another reason I never mention anything to my Endo…. Its like he never met me!
Hi Ms. :
It certainly sounds like you have sufficient grounds to request either the brand synthroid or if that doesn't work well, a hypoallergenic product called tirosint. I suggest we start with synthroid brand 100 mcg 5d per week and 150 mcg 2d per week, again using the 50 mcg tablet size, since that one doesn't contain dye. Since you feel overmedicated and the TSH is slightly suppressed, I'd like to back off on the liothyronine to 5 mcg once daily. I ordered repeat labs at Labcorp in 4 weeks.
Thanks DB

What can we say? Totally utterly nonsensical. Talking of suppressed TSH when actually he’s prescribing just enough to interfere with the feedback loop but not enough to replace. 😩
This is the stuff we have to deal with when you mention anything to your Endo about possible issues with a particular manufactures pill and immediately its lets reduce your T3 because you know thats always the issue… agh! Anyway Im not reducing the T3 as he suggested but definitely seeing about changing to a different manufacture since I believe the Abbvie pill is causing me problems.
I think he went to clown school before he became and Endo… and he is so brain dead he actually ordered me more T3 and Synthyroid even though he reduced my T3 … 😂
