Bone density check

I thought k would update you all on my progress with "educating" my Endo. Give him his due he is very happy having an informed conversation around results data, about me and how I feel, what my symptoms are etc. He, like most it seems, focuses on TSH and even said they don't worry about T3 and T4 numbers! However when discussing his concerns on how low my TSH is, 0.02, and heart health and bone density I suggested we check these - yay success- bone density check arranged for our 6 month appointment.

I am glad he is arranging the test, but scary that he is so focused on TSH. You sound very clued up on this whole thyroid thing, so just use him to get the tests you want and then do it your way!

The last Endo I saw said I had been underdosed the whole time, and he would like to up my T4 to a ceiling of 600 (whatever the measure is!).

I ordered some NDT and never saw him again.

Good for you. Sadly I am paying for blood tests to keep myself informed but will be strongly requesting full bloods from him next time.
