New Results for bone density

I posted 2 weeks ago about Vitamin D results (very low), and thank you for suggestions - I’ve started the VitD+k spray.

I’ve since had urea and bone density blood test and it has been signed as normal. I’ve posted the results below as some seem to close to the borders and the links to explanations don’t work. I wondered if anyone has any knowledge of these tests that can signpost me to learning more.

Thanks all.

So previous post here

Vitamin D deficiency at 15nmol

B12 378 (191-771)

Folate 9.9 (2-18.7)

Ferritin 40 (20-260)

Ferritin, Folate and B12 inadequate and all need improvement

SeasideSusie gave detailed info of how and what to take to improve levels

Only starting one supplement at a time

I’ve started the VitD+k spray.

How much vitamin D are you currently taking

One spray of Better You vitamin D with k2 is 1000iu …..suggest starting with 4 or 5 sprays per day

Retest in 2-3 months then test twice year going forward

Aiming for vitamin D at least around 80nmol and around 100nmol maybe better

You will definitely need ongoing daily vitamin D

Trial and error what dose each person needs

Adding magnesium supplement next ….remember both vitamin D you swallow or magnesium must be minimum 4 hours away from levothyroxine

Vitamin D mouth spray can be an hour away from levothyroxine

Have you done coeliac blood test yet

ALWAYS worth trying strictly gluten free diet…..but rule out coeliac disease first by testing

Hello,

Thank you for replying. I am working on the list and am already using the spray Vit D +k, that you kindly posted a link for.

Could someone please help with the new results I posted yesterday - I’ve had a bone density and urea test and the results have been filed as NFA, but some appear to be on or near the borderline. The links on my medical notes don’t work, so I’m looking for some guidance on whether I should be trying to improve these results.

Many thanks.
