I hope everyone is in good health,
Please can I ask if anyone can private message me with details on how to find a clinic that may do the Dio 1/2 testing? Really appreciated.
Thanks

By the way, it's so easy to get confused with numerals and letters - I know I did until recently. Correct is DIO(letters) and 2(number), but when I googled for DI(letters) and 02(numbers) it said it included results for DIO2.
Thank you for that!
I have posted as below numerous times and it is great to see someone else point it out! It is only intended to be helpful - not critical of the poster(s).
For clarity, the gene that affects T4 to T3 conversion is called DIO2 - that is, three letters and a number. Not D102 - a letter and three numbers. Not DI02 - two letters and two numbers.
The name comes from the enzyme that this gene affects which is a deiodinase. It removes an iodine atom from a thyroid hormone molecule - it deiodinates it.
On this forum we probably understand, but if you wish to look it up anywhere, it might help to get it right. If you are discussing with a doctor, and get it wrong, you are providing an excuse for them to dismiss what you say.
(More strictly, two single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) on the DIO2 gene, rs225014 and rs225015.)

The Wiki article provides a basic introduction as to what a single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) is and why it can be important:
Or even less confusing Dio2,
That form avoids confusion of DIO2 as D- one hundred and two!
Given that O can be confused with 0!
The number on the door of 10 Downing Street reads 1O
Sorry, just being a pain!!
Edit
PS You really don't want to know this I'm guessing but...
Curiosity got the better of me. I know, it killed the cat!!!

From the days when I wrote programs in pencil on coding sheets which were then punched into cards and verified before being fed into the computer, you had to be careful to distinguish various letters. O or O with a / through it (but offhand I don't remember which was the zero). Also confusing, 1 or L, probably others.
Regenerus are currently not able to do DIO2 gene test until Nov
