SHINGLES VACCINATION

I've been invited for a shingles vaccination.I understand that Zostavax is live,whereas Shingrix is not.The NHS reserve the latter for those with qualifying immune issues.

This has again raised a question that I have been thinking about since the start of the pandemic.

Hashimotos auto immune illness doesn't seem to get a mention when there is a discussion of auto-immune illness & viruses,auto-immune illness & vaccination(except on here!)

For instance,people with RA are advised to make sure they are offered the non-live Shingrix.

Where does Hashimotos autio-immune fit,in this discussion?

Look forward to hearing some varied opinions,as always!

It's not everyone with RA that are offered it, it's for those who are on immunosuppressant drugs treating their RA who will require the non live shingle vaccine, so people on DMARD's biologics , Jak inhibitors & long term/high dose steroids.
