I've been invited for a shingles vaccination.I understand that Zostavax is live, whereas Shingrix is not.The NHS reserve the latter for those with qualifying immune issues.
This has again raised a question that I have been thinking about since the start of the pandemic.
Hashimotos auto immune illness doesn't seem to get a mention when there is a discussion of auto-immune illness & viruses,auto-immune illness & vaccination(except on here!)
For instance, people with RA are advised to make sure they are offered the non-live Shingrix.
Where does Hashimotos autio-immune fit,in this discussion?
Look forward to hearing some varied opinions,as always!
