I recently posted about neurological symptoms and the probably related B12 defficiency. Just received my new blood tests, and though serum B12 is just 250, MMA (Metil Manoic Acid) is perfectly Ok. The GP says MMA is the only reliable measure to assess if someone suffers from B12 defficiency, in this context it doesnt matter what serum B12 shows. As My results came back ok, he says I don't need to supplement. What's your opinion on that matter?
Thanks a Lot!

I would say you do need to supplement, but I'm not medically trained.
It might be an idea to ask your quesion over on the Pernicious Anaemia forum where they are much more knowledgeable about B12 and the accuracy of tests, which ones can give false negatives, etc. Post full information and test results there.
