I had my 2nd covid vaccine yesterday (Friday) and was planning to take a medichecks thyroid blood test on Monday or Tuesday but I've suddenly thought could it possibly effect my results at all?

Would be glad of any advice

Many thanks

If you have any concerns and think you may possibly be wasting your money, maybe wait a couple of weeks. I think that’s what I would do.

I dont know about thyroid tests, but my friend who has diabetes said it affected her blood test for that...It only had an effect on her blood test for a couple days she said...I think she had the Pfizer jab ...one of the Rna ones...

Yes it can. Mine did. And the senior endocrinologist I then saw confirmed that some people can get temporary thyroiditis triggered by the vaccine. Her words not mine! Fir me the Astra Zeneca stimulated a cascade of T cell activity which inflamed everything including my thyroid. The other types of vaccine generally induce far less T cell response.

Hashihouseman, if you haven't already done so, would you please add your experience to our vaccine polls? A cope and paste of your comment here will be seen by more members if it's on the poll threads. healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...

Very interesting. I think that something similar might have happened to my daughter after she had Covid itself.
