So, I’m pregnant- what’s next?

I’ve just found out I’m pregnant which I’m delighted about but wondering what to do now. I was on 2 1/4 grain of NP Thyroid (split into AM and PM). However, I’ve had numerous blood tests which showed my levels were much too high so I haven’t taken any NDT in a while (maybe 2 months).

Latest bloods:

July 25

Ft4: 39.7 (12-22)

Ft3: 22.5 (3-6.8)

TPO: 34.7 (0-34)

And before that on July 7

Ft4: 40.4

Ft3:20.8

I’m planning on doing a blood test on Monday to see how things are, but have been feeling very foggy, stressed (to be expected?!) and having trouble sleeping (as all advice says can’t take CBD during pregnancy- which I found to be very helpful). My heart rate is very high (resting at 87bpm) and goes up to 150 just walking.

Last thing to add- I have been referred to a maternity hospital etc. Had bloods done by my doctor but she only tested TSH and T4 so I don’t suspect those results will be helpful!

Would be so incredibly grateful for any advice. Is it worth starting NDT again? I’m reluctant to trust a specialist but just not sure where to from here.

The blood tests for hypothyroidism were introduced along with levothyroxine, so if we take other thyroid hormone replacements, results may not correlate.
