I have only just started out on the levothyroxine. However have been taking liothyronine for a while. Not quite the way alot of people start out and still trying to get optimal. My questions are why does Teva brand not agree with some people? Also is there one that does to agree with people more? and is it advisable to stick to the same brand?

Teva is a lactose free brand and they have replaced lactose with mannitol and it seems as though mannitol is the culprit, some people have an adverse reaction to it. By the same token, some people find Teva the best brand they have ever had.
It's all a case of finding what suits you. Once you're happy with a brand (no adverse reactions) it's best to stick to that brand rather than chop and change.
That is really helpful to know. Thank you. I have gone over to Teva, not by choice and seem to be getting flushing and extremely hot. Stomach is very bloated too. I was wondering if it could be due to the Levo but not sure
You can put in a yellow card report about Teva, and make sure you ask the pharmacy not to give it you again, they should be able to mark your record there. Alternatively, ask GP to put "Not Teva" on your prescription.

Teva brand used to give me a headache but then after I had done a lot of work on my gut I found that when I had to have it again because the pharmacy could not get anything else at the time I found they were ok.
During lockdown I started to ordering online via Echo (Lloyds Pharmacy) and they have been supplying me with Mercury Pharma brand which is fine for me but I have had other brands from them according to what they have in stock. I think is it is better to stick to the same brand if you can.
