Would very much appreciate advice on the above as I feel I should now be checking out vitamin levels since having reduced my Armour for the past six weeks to 1 3/4 grains and before reducing again to 1 1/2 grains. Thank you so much in advance.

Advice needed please on which is the most comprehensive vitamin and mineral test to get done
Delgor
What most members do is the thyroid/vitamin test bundle which includes the key vitamins
Vit D
B12
Folate
Ferritin
as it seems to be the cheapest way to get them done compared with buying individual vitamin tests (put the individual tests in the search box to find the individual prices).
I received an email from Medichecks this morning with an offer open until midnight tonight for the Advanced Thyroid Function test (full thyroid panel plus above vitamin tests) for £68 for the fingerprick version
medichecks.com/products/adv...
If you take Biotin or a supplement containing Biotin such as B Complex, remember to leave this off for 7 days before the test, likewise if you take an iron supplement. If the thyroid tests are important remember to split dose of NDT the day before into 2 or 3 doses and take last dose 8-12 hours before the test.
Thanks so much Susie - I was very much hoping you would reply. Yes, I did see the Medichecks offer on today but having just done a thyroid function test literally on Monday I wasn't too bothered about that aspect but concerned about checking out all vitamin and mineral levels as I've changed vitamin supplements and don't take a multivitamin anymore and can't eat brazil nuts for selenium anymore and think I may have iron overload (would the ferritin show this)? Thanks so much.

Medichecks do an iron test which is the complete iron panel, not just ferritin, which I think you might need to see if you have iron overload, it costs £39
medichecks.com/products/iro...
B12 and folate can be done with one test but costs £83 and can't be done with fingerprick, it requires a venous blood draw
medichecks.com/products/vit...
Vit D is £39 (fingerprick)
medichecks.com/products/vit...
but is cheaper with the NHS lab that does the blood spot test for the general public for £29
Thanks so much Susie - I've just stayed off biotin for a week to do the medichecks thyroid function test and didn't want to do that again as I am taking probiotics for gut problems. Just so that I am absolutely clear once and for all can you please advise if I need to stop taking any vitamins before doing vitamin tests (not taking iron of any description). So sorry to be a nuisance but so want to get this right.
Delgor
The only things we need to leave off are
Biotin (whether as a stand alone supplement or in any other supplement - 7 days
Iron - if doing any iron test - 7 days and fast for 12 hours before test, water allowed
B12 - if we want a baseline to see what we are holding on to we stop B12 supplement for 4-5 months, otherwise just don't take on the day of the test until after the blood draw
Anything else just take after the test on the day.
You're not a nuisance 😊
