Hi. There are three companies who do private testing, Medichecks, Blue Horizon and Thriva. The first two I know have special offers on from time to time but the third one is. Wry knew so I haven't heard much about it. Sadly the NHS don't seem to routinely do the tests you are asking about. Do you have a thyroid problem as well? I am fortunate that the hospital I go to keeps an eye on Vit D, B12, folate and ferritin which need to be optimal for helping your thyroid to work better and I think the most popular test is one that does both full thyroid and vitamins.

If you live anywhere near Guildford (check internet they might have branches elsewhere) County Pathology and also there is Bio Lab London but both you have to present yourself personally.

Thankyou I do have thyroid problems. I had a complete thyroidectomy .I get jaw pain every day had it for over 20 yrs often wondered if was linked .

I had a test from Blue Horizon ( thyroid plus 12, I think) I wanted blood drawn so phoned local hospital phlebotomy and asked them if they'd do it. No problem, phlebotomist labelled up all the phial and I posted it overnight delivery.

Look on Medichecks or Blue Horizon websites they list private clinics that can do blood draw for you

Or local NHS hospital/nurse at GP may agree to, if having other NHS tests done at same time

All thyroid tests should be done as early as possible in morning and fasting and don't take Levo in the 24 hours prior to test, delay and take straight after. This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, GP will be unaware)
