So then you need to know what the lower end of the range is too - eg if it's 3.1 - 6.8, the range itself is 3.7 "big" (6.8 - 3.1) and your result is 2.9 into the range (6 - 3.1) so you are 2.9 / 3.7 through the range = 78.3% x

So if your result is 6 and the range is 3.1-6.8 the calculator shows 78.38%
