Hi everyone ❤️
Well.... Ive posted on here about my thyroid journey (thyroidectomy in 2019 graves) last year I started to notice on my blood printout for thyroid blood draw my calcium was over range gp never bothered, I brought his attention to it in turn I had 2 PTHs done June last year 8.1 Aug 9.5..obviously something is going on as I'm having symptoms of primary hyperparathyroidism, gp took some More blood said he would do, PTH, calcium, phosphate, magnesium, and renals, OK had the draw on Tuesday 15th June.. Received a call from the surgery on Thursday 17th June saying the doctor would be ringing me on Wednesday 23rd June as he would like to discuss my results, hey presto I thought, something as come bk as abnormal... I've picked the results up myself today.. Here's why he wants to talk to me.. 🤦♀️
TSH.... 0.04...range.. 0.30...4.50
T3...11.3...range.. 3.10..6.80
No T4 done
PTH... 5.3... Range.. 1.60..6.90..date..15th June 2021
(PTH..4.4..done in march 2021)
Calcium ...2.61...range.. 2.10..2.60..date..15th June 2021
(Calcium.. 2.35...done in march 2021)
what this stupid gp did not say.... Was he would be doing a full thyroid blood pannle... So I took my thyroid meds as normal, 10mg at 8am..10mg at 2pm..also this draw was at 3.35 in the afternoon and I know its best... A... NOT to take your meds 24 hours prior to a thyroid blood draw
B, its best to take the thyroid blood draw as early as possible
So can I disregard these thyroid blood results when he calls me on Wednesday 23rd June... 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
