Help with hot flushes
Wellcome to the forum Tinatina22.
I tried black cohosh but it didn’t help me. Also, some people have had adverse reactions to it & I don’t think it’s advised to take it for more than a couple of months.
My sister swears by Clary Sage for hot flushes. I haven’t taken this orally (yet) but do put the oil in my diffuser & it is relaxing.
I’ve found Gottfrieds ‘the Hormone Cure’ Book on the menopause very useful with lots of questionnaires to fill out & suggestions of remedies to try. It was a suggested read from another forum member & definitely worth a look. I’m currently going down the aromatherapy/ mindfulness route to try & alleviate some of my peri menopause symptoms.
Best wishes to you!
There is no evidence that aromatherapy has an affect on menopause symptoms over placebo. Please go to the British Menopause Society website who advise which alternatives to HRT may be effective. Good luck!
