Hi Everyone. Just starting on this thyroid health journey & really pleased I joined this forum. Could anyone recommend a good book or two - for under active thyroid health & diet. Thanks

This book is getting a bit old now, but is still very useful as a book to get people started :

amazon.co.uk/Your-Thyroid-H...

It comes on paper or as a Kindle book. I've never seen the Kindle book. I wouldn't recommend it for hyperthyroidism, just for hypothyroidism.

Edit : Just realised that the latest (2nd) edition of the book isn't available on Amazon as a paper book.

I second this. Dr Peatfield’s book is easy to understand and set me on the road to recovery. I was lucky enough to see him before he retired and he knows what he’s talking about. I also have Isabella Wentz’s books but find them too “sciency” for me. She is a fellow sufferer so also really knows what it’s all about.

Not a book!

But a few suggestions of where to find further information online. Quite possibly of use alongside one or more books. Much of it is extremely heavy going and not suitable for reading as text, rather for diving in further or looking things up.

All are without charge.

helvella - Other Sources of Information

Lists various sources of information available around the internet. This is primarily from a UK perspective though several non-UK sites have been included.
