My antibodies test was 600.
Range 0-34
They are sending me for an urgent ultrasound on my thyroid.
What are your thoughts about my results? The doctor didn’t confirm I had Hashimoto’s and wants this scan done.
Thanks!

You have Hashi's. No other thoughts are possible. No idea why he wants an urgent scan.
Whether or not you need treatment is another matter entirely. Depends on how much damage has already been done to your gland. And, you would tell that from blood test results.
Were these TPOab (Thyroid Peroxidase antibodies ) ?.....then it's not usually considered necessary to have a scan ... they already confirm an Autoimmune cause for your hypothyroidism.
Or were they TGab (Thyroglobulin Antibodies) ?... NHS don't usually do these for thyroid, so i'm not sure if it would make a difference to them wanting a scan.
However i wouldn't say no to a scan if GP want's to send you for one just for interest.
Is this the same 'cautious' GP that is scared to raise your Levo over 50 in case your bones instantly turn to dust ? (even though your TSH was still above 3, if i remember correctly )
Have a scan by all means, but don't worry about your level of TPOab .. 600 is not unusually high.. but fortunately for you it is high enough for them to take notice of .
My TPOab were over 2499 and they never scanned my thyroid... just told me it was autoimmune ,gave me levo and gradually increased dose till i was settled on 150mcg ..(even though my TSH was only 6.8 ) So in my case THe high levels of TPOab helped me get treatment.. but you didn't need any help there as your TSH was impressively high at 45 ish .
What you need now is a GP that will raise your Levo to 75mcg and stop messing around.
Have you asked if they will increase your dose while you are waiting for this scan, and asked "if you won't increase my dose , why not ?"
Several replies to your previous post had references to GP's instructing them to Get TSH below 2. so keep pushing them to increase dose .. healthunlocked.com/thyroidu......
..... they won't learn anything on a scan that they don't already know from your blood results.. ie you are Hypothyroid and need treating EFFECTIVELY.
And as far as i can see ... waiting for an ultrasound scan ( whether 'urgent' or not) should not be used as a reason not to increase your Levo in the meantime.
Of course high TPO antibodies confirms autoimmune thyroid disease (U.K. medics never refer to autoimmune thyroid disease as Hashimoto’s)
Technically...If you have a goitre this is Hashimoto’s
If you don’t have a goitre it’s Ord’s thyroiditis

PCOS and autoimmune thyroid disease are frequently linked

Your already gluten and lactose free
Low vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 are all EXTREMELY common with autoimmune thyroid disease
Insist GP test vitamin levels
Or test privately
Request 25mcg dose increase in levothyroxine as TSH was too high at last test
Bloods should be retested 6-8 weeks after each dose increase
