Sore calves??

I have sore calves they are sore when to touch them and ache sometimes I get a ache in my knee I've hyperthyroidism and am on carbimizole could the soreness and aching be related in anyway this is something I'm getting super worried about xx

Hello, I have graves disease and I'm currently on carbimazole and levothyroxine. I suffer a lot with aching joints and aching bones.It was a lot worse before I was diagnosed and started medication.I believe one of the side effects of carbimazole is joint pain. It's hard to determine exactly what's causing it for me.Could be my age( I'm 56), could be my graves, the menopause, or the carbimazole. That's what's so difficult and probably why I suffered with all this before finally going to the doctor's. I probably was hyperthyroid for at least 18 months but put up with it because I thought it was the menopause and didn't want HRT due to lifelong migraine.Do you know what's causing your hyperthyroidism.Have you had the antibody test for graves disease?I'll just sing the praises of this forum and say they helped me understand so much about my thyroid and it's so good to be able to ask other's for their advice and experiences.Hope I have helped in some way.
