Hi, I am new here. I have tested positive for antibodies which suggest Hashimoto's and have all the symptoms of hypothyroidism. Have been told that TSH is not high enough for treatment . This ranges from 3.02 - 4.59. I don't have health insurance. Can anyone recommend a good specialist please?

Welcome to the forum
Was test done as early as possible in morning before eating or drinking anything other than water?
This gives highest TSH
Important to also test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 plus coeliac blood test too
Hashimoto’s frequently results in low vitamin levels
Important to regularly test and supplement to maintain optimal vitamin levels
Gluten intolerance is very common with Hashimoto’s. But before considering trial on strictly gluten free diet it’s important to rule out coeliac disease
What were Ft4 and Ft3 results?

I don't know of a doctor in Glasgow but there was one but he has since died and is missed desperately by his staff - they said that every day was a laughter day - by thousands of his patients. His name was Dr Gordon Skinner.
However, there was a debate in the Scottish Parliament about the state of regulations for treating patients who were hypothyroid and not providing options. I believe they can be prescribed options now but you'll have to double-check on this.
