Can anyone recommend a good/sympathetic Endo in Exeter or Devon area please?

I live in Exeter and am willing to travel. Closer the better obviously.

Anyone got any experiences good or bad of Endo's in this area - be good to know if I need to avoid anyone in particular as well as hopefully finding a good one.

Does that mean you want people to privately message us rather than put it on the boards?

Gonna try and find some local names and see if anyone knows much about them too. x

Yes please - we can't be seen to be naming and shaming the 'bad' ones and some of the 'good' ones don't like to be named publically! *sigh* L

Hi everyone.I would also like to know of anyone recommended for Exeter Devon as its my area.

I had tt in March last year and although my dose of levo is 175 one day and 200 the next it still isn't stable feeling as im often very up and down and would like advice regarding t3 combination. My gp is reluctant to re refer as he says its still not 12 months yet, however I know how my body feels and that its not sitting right still.

Thank you in advance :-)

Hi crazybek - first, very sorry no-one's replied before now, very likely they haven't noticed your question down here on another thread. Please re-post it as your own question and you'll get lots of help! Meanwhile, if you've had a TT you should most definitely be being monitored by an Endo, not just your GP - they are simply not going to have the knowledge base needed to treat you effectively. You should be having regular blood tests to establish a correct dose, (175/200 sounds like a cautious guess to me), but without at least TSH, free T4 and free T3 (and ranges) we can't offer constructive advice. So, go back to your GP, shake him warmly by the throat, get a full thyroid function test and insist he refers you to Wonford. What you are being offered now is simply not good enough! If you like, message me and I'll do my best to clarify further. Regards, Richard.
