Covid Vac - Hashi's

I was very disappointed that the mods felt the need to close responses to my post 3 days ago. I wasn't asking about the reactions to the vac that people were having (I read those threads). I was asking for feedback about the possible "pro's and cons" of having the vac with Hashi's

I was happy to have the jab to be protected from the risk of serious illness from Covid. I have not noticed any difference in my hashimoto symptoms in the 8 weeks since first jab. I also want to be able to go on holiday abroad in the next year so I think a jab is a necessity to be able to do this. x

You saw from the link in your previous question how the vaccine has or hasn't affected those with thyroid disease. However, if you are looking for a discussion on why you should or shouldn't have the vaccine it is probably more suited to a Covid vaccine forum. At the end of the day the decision to be vaccinated should really be your own, based your own research not other people's opinions.

Am nto even sure why you would have doubts unless you have other autoimmune conditions. Th modratprs werent closing your post down arbitorily but simply redirecting you to the covid19 area where you might find the answer or for you to post up there. I think theyve done this to keep all the obfo and queries in obe place. Hope that helps.

By the way Im fully vaccinated with several autoimmune conditions......been fine.

My husband got Covid in one of his care homes before Xmas, 4 residents died 3 staff members were seriously ill one then died, he has now got it in another care home were all staff and residents have had both doses vaccines, 3 residents have tested positive but have no symptoms 3 staff have tested positive and also have no symptoms..... that is only anecdotal evidence but it’s pretty good at showing how effective the vaccine is

Jefner, This forum is specifically for people to discuss thyroid disease. It is not for discussion about vaccination. This post is also now closed to further comment.
